It was a good birthday weekend... lots of favorite foods... yummy desserts... extra kiddo loves and handmade cards.

are worn every single day... rain... snow or sunshine they are on her feet... she'd wear them with pajamas if we'd let her!

This past weekend was another Lowe's project... the pull back car. Walker had been waiting for this project for a couple months and was pretty excited the day had finally come to build it!

It was actually one of the easiest projects to date... only 4 steps... that always makes for a good day!

Ainsley still has a hard time holding the hammer straight... for some reason she insists on holding it at an angle... making some nails go in crooked... which ends up frustrating her and sometimes producing tears!

Little Bug is getting much better with it and likes to "beat the heck out of it" sometimes.

So here's the final project... Walker was all about making it just like the picture... and Ainsley was all about making it artistic... it's so them.

Walker is currently knobless...

When he gets in trouble (which seemed to be pretty frequent over the weekend) he will run upstairs... slam his door... and lock it!! About the 5th time of saying, "Unlock it NOW"... it dawns on me that we have a "key" to open it... by this time I'm tearing apart my bedroom trying to find the "key" and thinking all kinds of lovely *&^%$#@ words. He then opens it up and yells, "What!!!" Nice.

So after a nice long chat about door slamming, yelling, locking the door I think we've got it all handled... a few hours later the whole scene repeats itself and I'm trying to not yell and say open the door please and I get a big "NO!...I'm not going too!" I decided the knob was to come off until further notice.

Ahh... the life of parenthood.

So this is the current plant container grave yard...

As you can tell we've had a few "problems" keeping plants alive. Today at Lowes we spotted some new clearance plants... poor unsuspecting things... they have no idea what they are in for.

This would be great in July... but right now it's just... UGH!

Yesterday was a sick day for Little Bug... more like throwing up every hour day!

Today is a much better day... a getting better day... a sitting upright day. Let's hope it stays like that today.

Today was the day that Bear was to get "restuffed". I started early so that he'd be ready by bedtime. Walker really wanted to help and dropped all Lego building when it was finally time to start.

I found a seam... opened him up and let him start pulling out the old stuffing... Walker made some sort of "gagging" noise and promptly said, "You can do it... I don't want to anymore!" So I guess there will be no surgeon career ahead in his future.

Here's the new fluffed up version of Bear...

Walker was thrilled with him once he was stitched up... and said, "Bear's itchy spot is better than before!" See where Walker's pointer finger is bent... that's Bear's itchy spot aka Walker's soothing area... where he rubs before drifting off to sleep or when he's upset and needs Bear.

She got moved to the 3rd row in the back of class and since then has been saying that the board is a bit blurry... with her glasses on. So we took her to the eye Dr. today to check it out. Her eyes have changed... almost doubled the prescription strength. She got new lenses ordered today and in a couple weeks will be seeing a bit clearer!   Who knew her eyes would change that much in 9 months!!

Happy Valentine's Day...

This is still one of my most treasured things... Little Bug made me this necklace a couple years ago... I still remember his beaming face as he gave it to me to wear.

This weekend was projects galore... started off on Friday evening "unstuffing" Phyllis...

She was looking a little rough and so I read up on fixing stuffed animals... we had to take all her stuffing out and then put new back in. See Walker gripping onto Bear... the original plan was to do Bear first but Walker was a little reluctant and offered up Phyllis first.

Phyllis turned out great... thinking I'll have to sort through my ribbon stash and pick out a new bow for her today, now that she has a neck again.

Saturday morning it was the Lowe's Building project, this week was a heart shaped music box...

Later Saturday afternoon we started and finished demo on the basement bathroom...

Sunday was Valentine project day... Kiddos each wrote out their Valentine's.

Walker picked Hot Wheels Battle Force 5 with SpongeBob fundips..

Ainsley had a stack to do... with 29 classmates, other friends and some for the special ed class she was busy... She picked out these cute Valentines because they had heart shaped silly banz with them... and decided to get skittles for a treat to put in there as well... the little envelopes were bursting at the seems.

I'm in charge of a craft for Ainsley's Classroom party and decided to make these cute "iloves" with her class... here's the sample... how cute are they?? I love the Hershey kiss headphones!!
