After three celebrations... he's officially 4!
I was feeling yucky so Stewart decorated the cake... he did an awesome job.
Lastly, Ainsley had her graduation from Kindergarten on Friday... complete with pomp and circumstance and graduation hats!

We had a little pre-birthday celebration yesterday. Walker had his school birthday celebration in the afternoon... he decided on M&M ice cream bars... and then we headed to Outerlimits (like a Chucky Cheese) for dinner and all around craziness! Here he is Mr. Almost 4 year old!
The kids had lots of fun... came over all sweaty from playing in the jungle gym... and then super excited when they got to turn in their tickets for prizes. Walker was playing one game and got over 100 tickets... I'm not sure who was more excited Walker, Ainsley or Daddy!
Today was Walker's last day of preschool... so hard to believe it! Here's a couple pictures
on the first and last day... he's grown so much!
Here's what we made for his teacher...
I was so thrilled with the way it turned out... just have 1 more to make for Ainsley's teacher.
Off to pick up the little bug from school... I put a bunch of pictures from the festivities last night in the photo gallery!
A picture of Stewart on his 4th Birthday... Walker also chose a Spiderman theme for his 4th Birthday. How crazy is that?
Summer is in full force this week... kiddos got out the buckets and hose and were thrilled to be splashing around in the driveway. Ainsley and Walker were on the lookout for ants... as soon as they spotted one it was a quick run to the hose were they blasted them full force or better yet... washing one ant away with a bucket of water... poor little ant!
Of course Popsicles have been a must this week... first ones of the season.
We had planned a camping trip to the Tetons and to Yellowstone as well this past weekend but on Thursday Stewart came down with another sore throat... strep again! The campground we like to stay at in the Tetons was also closed... they delayed opening by 2 weeks... citing most snowfall in a decade.
So instead we all stayed home... kids were glad since Ainsley got to go on her field trip at the zoo, and Walker got to attend his last soccer game of the season. He was so excited to get a trophy. Ainsley also had a good soccer game weekend... she scored 3 goals!
As if Stewart didn't have enough pain this weekend... he sunscreened up his arms this weekend at the games... and didn't think about his legs...
Hope everyone has made it over to the new blog. We had some "issues" with the other site and decided to be more in control of our website and have more protection, and something easy to remember for everyone. With that being said... here's an update of the past week or so.
The possible strep case of Walker turned out to be an ear infection... first one he's ever had! Got him some antibiotics... by day 6 he started having an allergic reaction! So this weekend was spent at Urgent Care and then around town trying to locate some other medicine.
I think/hope he's on the mend. His face and tummy are almost back to normal but legs, arms and back are still pretty red with hives. Poor little bug... think we will have Ainsley tested to see if she is allergic to penicillin... I always wondered if there was a connection since I'm allergic... try it and learn i guess.
Sunday I woke up to this...
fresh cut flowers from outside. The kiddos were so cute running out with them and their little homemade gifts from school. Love how they get so proud in what they make. Original plan was to have brunch but since poor bug looked like he was contagious with something we opted for a quiet day at home with some pizza.
We got about 5 inches of snow last night and it is still coming down!!!
Had to dig out the winter coats, snow boots, hats and mittens for the school walk this morning.
Keeping little Bug home today... has had a fever on and off the past couple of days. Had to miss his Spring Sing at school last night... poor kiddo was in bed at 5ish. It's crazy how kids go from feeling all yucky one minute to bouncing off the walls the next! His throat looks fine for now... hope Strep case #2 isn't coming.
Looks like Spring has decided to make an entrance in Idaho... so glad to finally see things blooming!
In other news... the strep patient is finally feeling better... after a week of antibiotics! We are all glad to have him back from isolation... getting kids ready for bed is so much easier with two... and the kids are glad to have Daddy hugs and kisses again!
In honor of Earth Day on Tuesday we decided to switch to using reusable grocery bags.
At the grocery store I explained to Walker why we were going to be using these bags. Told him how they would help the environment and reduce the amount of plastic bags that accumulate in our pantry like crazy. When he got home he told Stewart, "Look Daddy, we got these bags to help the firemen!" After laughing and smiling I had to let him know that it was the Environment we were helping not the firemen!
In other news Stewart has gotten a nasty case of Strep throat... so we've had to quarantine him a bit... it's hard on all... kids want to give Daddy hugs and kisses before bed and help take care of Daddy. And Stewart feels so left out with our routine of things. So with some large doses of antibiotics he's been a permanent fixture on the couch the past couple of days. He headed to work today in jammies... hopefully he'll start feeling better soon or we'll have to head back to the Dr.
This past weekend Stewart had a "guys night out" consisting of a Junk Yard trip... pizza and beer and PS2 gaming. So the kids and I had a special kids night in! We did all their favorite treats... grabbed McDonald's for dinner and headed to the movie store.
Ainsley had been wanting to see Enchanted so we watched that... pretty cute show. Walker's show that he picked out was Land Before Time... 13! Didn't know that they had made 12 previous Land Before Time movies.
It's fun to do little "treats" like this every now and then. Can you tell they were excited?
This picture of Ainsley pretty much says it all... happy... oh so happy!
It was a whirlwind of a day... two soccer games... a run to the balloon store and home quick to get ready for guests!
Ainsley was so excited... she camped out here waiting for them to arrive...
This being our first "friends from school" party it actually went really smoothly... in fact the 2 hours flew by. We did crafts... princess crowns... wands... and princess wall hangings!
Then a pinata...
Followed by cake, ice cream and presents... the girls were excited to see and help with each present... they started like this...
and quickly turned into this...
All in all it turned out great... one little friend said, "This sure is a nice party Ainsley!" Stewart and I gave a quick... "yes" with a high five!
Later at bedtime Ainsley said, "Thank you Mommy/Daddy for my party... I had sooo much fun!" Followed by big hugs and kisses... you can't ask for anything better!
